What are VIP Days?
A VIP Day is when you, the client, spend a full day – or maybe a half day — with a coach with the purpose of achieving a specific outcome. The outcome is really whatever you need at the time, that the coach is able to provide.
For example, I am a business coach who specializes in branding, so a client may work with me to find clarity in her business and craft her marketing messaging. Or, she may want to put together a Unique Branded System and create a program around it. She may want help creating a lead magnet that attracts her ideal client and grows her list…or with launching a program via a webinar…or developing a signature talk that closes more clients…the list goes on and on.
Aren’t VIP Days a Hefty Investment?
It might seem that way for a day’s work, but think about it: How much would you pay to work with a coach over the course of a few months? Probably much more, and you wouldn’t get the results that would put you on the fastest path to cash.
The results you get in just one day of working 1:1 with a coach are very focused on getting you to your next goal. Investing in a VIP Day is “one and done” rather than a longer-term coaching package that may yield a similar outcome, but take much longer.
In the long run, you are actually saving money—and time. (And we all know that time is money.)
And, many coaches provide follow-up support after the VIP Day, so it’s not like you’re left to your own devices to carry out the strategies you come up with.
Here’s my experience.
I started working with coaches in 2012 in small group masterminds that included training calls, retreats, and some 1:1 support. But, hands down, the most valuable experience in my 5 years of investing tens of thousands of dollars was spending a VIP Day with my coach.
I had a million ideas running around in my head and she helped me to come up with a month-to-month blueprint to get me through my year. We called it my “Elevation Plan.”
With that focus, I made some huge strides and came closer to my goals so much faster than if I’d tried to figure it out on my own. Without her guidance, I’d have been flying by the seat of my pants, wasting time on things that weren’t best for me or my business.
But can’t I get that in a lower-priced program?
Don’t get me wrong. Investing in lower-priced group programs are a necessity. That’s how you gather the information to know what you need to run your business. My Sizzle System Branding Bootcamp is akin to what we call in academia as a “survey course.” In 6 or 8 weeks, you learn pretty much everything that goes into building a brand, so you know what you need to do.
But when that requires something that’s out of your realm, you can waste time struggling with it, or you can do the smart thing and get 1:1 help from an expert. That’s where the real growth takes place. It’s where the magic happens, and you experience the transformation that moves you forward faster.
How about you?
Have you ever invested in a VIP Day? I would love to what you got out of it. Was it well worth the investment?
Or, if you’re a coach, do you offer VIP Days? Can you provide some insight on how to make them most effective?
Either way, please comment below. I’d love to hear your feedback!
