What Have You Decided About Yourself?

What Have You Decided About Yourself?

“There is a Way Through Every Block”

This quote graced the tank top of my yoga instructor in class today. Most entrepreneurs have an editorial calendar that dictates what they blog about every week. Not me. I go to yoga class for inspiration. Or, I walk in the park, where ideas seemingly fall from the clear blue sky. My philosophy is that if you truly want a freedom-based business, do what works for you as an individual rather than following the standard advice that we hear over and over. (I’m not saying it doesn’t work. It does for most people, or I wouldn’t be teaching it!)

But back to the quote. It struck me, because I’ve been thinking a lot about how our blocks sabotage our success, not only in business, but in life. In fact, the topic prompted me to host a telesummit, Sizzle to Abundance, to address how overcoming our fears and blocks and upping our inner game are the real keys to creating what we want.

I call myself a Visibility Strategist and Branding Expert because that’s the “hook” that attracts clients, but at the center of any successful branding or visibility strategy is empowerment. I can teach a client to create a Facebook ad or design a logo for her, but if what’s going on in the inside isn’t a match for her shiny new brand assets, her business will fall flat.

A brand is built from the inside out: it starts with finding clarity of what you believe about yourself, what you stand for, and the value you know — deep in your heart — that you bring to the world.

Once you find that clarity, you then have to align with what you decide about yourself. If you decide that you’re afraid…to speak in public…to ask for the sale…to market your services…you’re missing out on the opportunities it takes to create the business you dream of.

So why not make the decision to be brave instead of afraid? To take the risks that could move you forward instead of staying safe and stuck where you are? Because a decision only takes a couple of seconds to make, either way.

I rebranded to The Sizzle System because I made the decision to stop playing small. I was tired of being the “best kept secret,” serving a few people at a time; I knew I was ready for something greater. I wanted to leverage my worth and my time, and I wanted to help other women do the same.

I made the decision to change. I made the decision to be courageous. As an introvert, it took some getting used to — a lot of getting used to. But I felt pulled by my purpose, and that was greater than any fear that was keeping me stuck.

That decision changed the trajectory of not only my business but also my life. Now, every single day, I shine a light on my fears to expose them, only to rise above them and let them go.

I make the decision to find a way to through my blocks and move with the flow of life, where creativity, opportunity, and prosperity abound.

To me, that’s what it means to Sizzle to Abundance.
